Terms of service

1. The Lang-age service

Lang-age is an AI-assisted English learning platform that may include: adaptive CEFR-oriented placement assessment; personalized learning paths across Foundation, Intermediate, and Mastery phases (approximately A1–C2); lessons and practice for vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading, writing, and speaking; an AI language agent (“Lingo”); progress tracking (including XP and streaks); and organization seat licensing with admin reporting.

Features available to you depend on your account type, placement result, purchased entitlements, organization license, device capabilities, and feature rollout status.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create a consumer Lang-age account, unless you are enrolled by an organization that has obtained any required parental or guardian consent under applicable law.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or present risk to the Services or other users.

3. License to use

Subject to these Terms, Quduratech grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal learning, or for organizational training where you are a licensed seat holder, solely in accordance with these Terms and any plan limits.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer (except to the extent permitted by law), or create derivative works from the Services or curriculum content, except as expressly allowed by us in writing.

4. Placement, CEFR estimates, and educational disclaimers

Placement results and CEFR level estimates are generated by adaptive assessment and AI-assisted evaluation for educational placement within Lang-age. They are not official certificates issued by Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL, ministries of education, or other examining bodies unless we expressly state otherwise in a separate attestation product.

Scores, feedback, and AI suggestions may be incomplete or incorrect. You remain responsible for how you rely on them for study, work, travel, or immigration decisions.

5. AI features and acceptable use of Lingo

Lingo and other AI features generate responses automatically. Outputs may be inaccurate, inappropriate for your context, or inconsistent. Do not treat AI output as professional, legal, medical, or immigration advice.

You agree not to use AI features to generate unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or infringing content; to attempt to extract model weights or circumvent safety controls; or to submit others’ personal data without authority.

We may rate-limit, log, review (including automated review), or disable AI features to protect the Services, improve quality, and enforce these Terms.

6. Microphone, camera, and user content

Certain features request microphone access (and, if enabled, camera access) to capture speaking practice, placement speaking tasks, or optional visual helpers. Granting permission is optional for those features but required to use them.

You retain rights in content you create and submit (“User Content”). You grant Quduratech a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, reproduce, and display User Content solely to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Services, including AI evaluation and feedback.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit User Content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

7. Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds

Lang-age may be offered free with optional paid unlocks, level-phase access, subscriptions, session packs, or organization licenses. Prices and inclusions are shown at checkout in the app or on applicable commercial agreements.

Mobile app purchases and subscriptions billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store are also subject to those platforms’ terms and billing practices. Manage or cancel store subscriptions in your store account settings.

Web or invoice purchases (including HyperPay or enterprise billing where configured) are subject to the payment terms presented at purchase and any order form with your organization.

Except where required by applicable law or the relevant app store’s refund rules, paid digital learning access is generally non-refundable once unlocked or consumed. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact [email protected] promptly and, for store purchases, also use the store’s refund process.

8. Organization / seat licenses

If you use Lang-age under an organization license, your organization’s admin may enroll you, assign seats, view progress reports, and manage access. Additional terms in an order form or enterprise agreement may apply and prevail over these Terms in case of conflict for that commercial relationship.

Organization admins must have lawful authority to provide learner contact and roster data to Lang-age.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Misuse the Services, including attempting unauthorized access, scraping at scale, or disrupting availability.
• Share accounts or resell access except under a valid organization license that permits it.
• Upload malware or attempt to probe, scan, or breach our systems.
• Use the Services to cheat on third-party exams in violation of those exams’ rules, or to misrepresent Lang-age results as official certifications.
• Harass others or misuse communications features.
• Violate applicable export, sanctions, or privacy laws.

10. Intellectual property

The Services, including software, curricula, question banks, media, trademarks (including Lang-age and related marks), and branding, are owned by Quduratech or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited license in Section 3, no rights are granted to you. Feedback you provide may be used by Quduratech without obligation to you.

11. Third-party services

The Services may integrate third-party platforms (app stores, payment processors, hosting, AI infrastructure). Your use of those platforms may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

12. Privacy

Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Account deletion instructions are available in-app and at /delete-account.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. QUDURATECH DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT PLACEMENT OR AI RESULTS WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS OR EXTERNAL REQUIREMENTS.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUDURATECH AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO QUDURATECH FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM; OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD 100) OR EQUIVALENT.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

15. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Quduratech against claims, damages, and expenses arising from your User Content, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and may delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if needed to protect the Services or users. Upon termination, the license in Section 3 ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law) will survive.

17. Changes to the Services or Terms

We may modify the Services and these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Courts of competent jurisdiction in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide you with additional rights to bring claims in your local courts.

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact [email protected] and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute within thirty (30) days.

19. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any order form or enterprise agreement, constitute the entire agreement regarding the Services and supersede prior understandings on the same subject.

If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a corporate reorganization or sale.
